@Renee -- well, yeah she did do something to Elizabeth as she had sex with John knowing he is married and knowing Elizabeth has terminal cancer. I would like to think there are other women in the world besides myself who could hold back their sexual urges long enough to think about what harm I would be doing to this man's family (that is if I could bring myself to have sex with a married man not my husband in the first place) by having sex with him.

As for the kind of man John Edwards is, well, his record speaks for itself. I don't think anyone is under the impression that he was anything but a weak minded male acting on hormones and on a power drunk.

Also, the last time I checked, it was never mandatory that the two people having sex with each other also love one another. That's the ideal of course, but not the reality. That part is the least objectionable of the entire episode to me. Has Rielle ever said she was in love with John? If so, I don't remember hearing her say it.

Thanks for your comments!
