		<description>It depends on the author and his or her writing style. My posts are always between 800-1200 words. I don&#039;t think I&#039;m losing readers because I am so verbose, but I do edit myself quite heavily so I think it&#039;s mostly lean meat in those posts.

Like Lyndi, I&#039;ve read other posts that feel just too short and some that are extremely long winded and would do best to get directly to the point.

I still prefer to read a post that is longer than a few paragraphs but shorter than a Wall Street Journal expose.
