Come my friend let’s sit awhile
We’ll share a joke; We’ll share a smile
And before our visit is marked through
We’ll share what’s new with me; what’s new with you.

Although the years have passed too long
Our friendship still is very strong
While far apart in miles are measured
By comradeship our spirits tethered

Though years may have passed since we last spoke
We’ll catch up quick and then devote
Our time to other happy pursuits
Once again we’ll be buddies in cahoots.

We’ll eat and drink and shop and swagger
And new friends make until we gather
A crowd of followers marching to our beat
Friends for all; for life so sweet.

We’ll talk of dreams and world demands
We’ll compare men and rock and roll bands
We’ll cry over sad movies and old friends lost
We’ll laugh at our selves and our neighbors and boss.

And when it’s time for our visit to end
We’ll once again swear always to be friends
We’ll promise to write; we’ll promise to call
We’ll promise to meet at the reunion ball.

And even if none of those promises we keep
We’ll always know that way down deep
Our friendship will last ’til dying breath takes
And even beyond as neither the other forsakes.

It’s more than just love this tie that we share.
It’s heart, mind and soul and beyond compare.
I’m sister to you and you’re sister to me
Always “just” friends that’s what we’ll be.
