Ken and I do a fair amount of travel. Usually it’s not too far from home as it’s a challenge to get someone to care for all the animals and I’m always nervous about being gone longer than a day or two, but every few years we plan a week long vacation somewhere.

This year, we went to Las Vegas, Nevada and that was fun! A few years back we went to Cozumel and that was fun for awhile but a hurricane arrived right in the middle of the vacation and that made it a bit frightening! And we’ve been to the Bahamas on a cruise. I was a bit disappointed in that cruise as it was a bit boring. The pools were crowded, so we didn’t do any swimming on board and Nassau was very commercial — I was really disappointed in the shopping. Ken went over to Paradise Island and I’m sorry now that I didn’t go with him, but he wanted to gamble and that isn’t something I enjoy doing a lot of.

We’ve bandied around destinations for our next vacation we’ve talked about going to Europe. I especially want to visit England, Scotland and Ireland. Alison sent me a brochure from Castle Fraser, so it’s on my list of places to visit. I would love to go in March and see Crufts (or better yet, exhibit there!). We’ve also discussed taking one of those Mediterranean cruises that hits Greece, Italy and Venice.I love museums and art galleries, symphonies and plays. Ken isn’t so much into the first two although he enjoys the latter two very much.

I’ve been looking at cruises on line lately as Ken adored the cruise we took to the Bahamas and wants to do another cruise. Right now, there are some really great bargains on them. Mama Flo has just finished a cruise through the Panama Canal and WOW did she ever seem to have a great time on it!

Of course now you have to have a passport to travel anywhere out of the country, so I’ll need to get one. Ken already has one since he went to Munich, Germany for BMW a couple of years ago.
