What is Palanthir? Well, besides being a character in World of Warcraft, it’s the name of the blog I’m about to write about.

Blog owner, Rahul Pinnamaneni collects stories, videos and photographs (giving credit to the sites, photographers and videographers his choices come from although no link love)  from the web that he finds particularly interesting and shares them with us. Rahul’s been doing this since 2006 and although he’s just now hitting his stride, he’s doing a pretty fair job of  finding unusual and interesting things to show us.

For example, he’s got a couple of videos of robots solving Rubik’s Cubes. These robots were built specifically and programmed to do nothing more than solve Rubik’s Cubes in no more than one minute and with 20 or fewer moves. I don’t think I’m even  — make that I KNOW  I’m not –  on the same planet with these guys!

And, of course the animal lover in me is enchanted with the polar bear who wants to play with the puppies. You’ll have to go see that one! It’s amazing! That belongs in the "whoda thunk it" file.

Rahul even does a few movie reviews for us and I’m headed over to NetFlix to order some of his review choices.

I adored the Motley Fool’s 12 Tenets of Stock Investing — #1 rule is by far the most important, but the hardest one to follow. Just reading the cartoons associated with each rule is worth the time looking!

Rahul’s got a good thing started with Palanthir. Let’s hope he keeps on going.
