The first thing I noticed when we landed in Las Vegas last week was how bright the sun was.
The second thing I noticed was that I forgot my sunglasses 
So, the first thing we did after getting our rental car was stop at the outlet mall that’s just outside the airport. Well, I actually had a couple of things I needed to buy besides sunglasses, but those were definitely at the top of the list. They had one of those kiosks in the mall that sells sunglasses (Sunglass Hut I think they’re called) and they had a nice selection of frou-frou glasses — you know the kind — supposed "designer" sunglasses that fall apart after the first wearing.
There was also a store selling hiking and ski equipment and they had a nice selection of Panoptx sunglasses, but that was a bit TOO over the top for a 5 day vacation, so it was back to the Oakley knock offs. Fortunately they did last the whole 5 days
