Never Get Busted Again!
A former narcotics officer in Texas has created and is selling a DVD that details to marijuana users how to avoid getting busted for possession of marijuana! And he’s on his way to becoming an millionaire! Only in America
Barry Cooper is quite explicit in his DVD with tips to avoid being pulled over by the police in the first place (such as avoiding bumper stickers that show you’re in college or a Vietnam Vet!), how to hide your stash so that drug dogs can’t find it or give false positives that confuse the handler.
Law enforcement officials are not happy with Mr. Cooper’s entrepreneurial spirit, but there’s nothing they can do about it. He’s within his rights to produce such a DVD, as well as to market and sell it.
His next DVD tells people how to not get raided.
Law enforcement is even less happy about that one citing a worry that officers will get injured because of it. Is that a real concern, or are they more concerned that more than the savvy drug dealer/user will “get away” with their crime?
How do I feel about this?? Well, I’m all for obeying the law. I also understand that being a police officer carries with it the potential to abuse power over people. It’s the human condition. So, while I don’t really want anyone to break the law (there are ways to overthrow laws that are unjust, unneccessary or wrong that don’t involve breaking them), I also can’t fault Mr. Cooper for sharing his insight with others.
