Lovin My Laptop

I recently bought a new laptop computer. It’s sleek and pretty and FAST! I’m using it at work where I have some pretty intense programs installed on it — SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Dynamics just to mention a few. This baby is handling the load like a Mack truck handles a load of cement blocks.

It’s a Toshiba PSAFGU-0701J Satellite which is on sale right now at Buy.com for $699.99 with FREE BUDGET SHIPPING

Under the hood, you have Dual-Core TL-60 2.0GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 200GB hard drive, ATI Radeon X1200 Graphics card, DVD±R/RW, and 802.11G Wireless all of which translates into fast, powerful and able to handle everything from 3D video games to, well this blog.

Can you tell that I love this laptop?

I’ve never owned a Toshiba computer before but if they’re all made as well as this one, I’ll be buying another when the time comes. Buy.com also has accessories for your Toshiba laptop — like extended life batteries, cooling hubs and wireless peripherals. I’m not using an external keyboard on mine — I thought I would since I’m not used to typing on a flat keyboard, but this computer’s keyboard set up provides a place for me to rest the heels of my hands, so typing on the keyboard isn’t strenuous at all. I do have an external mouse, but since there are 4 USB ports on the machine, I have plenty of room for the wireless mouse and an aircard and my thumb drive.

I worried about it having Windows Vista for an operating system, but I really like Vista! So far, all the programs I’ve been used to using are working just fine on Vista as are my older peripherals like printer, scanner and taking photos off my camera couldn’t be easier with the card port on the front.

I don’t write praise for stuff I don’t like - I really love this little computer!
