Come my friend let’s sit awhile
We’ll share a joke; We’ll share a smile
And before our visit is marked through
We’ll share what’s new with me; what’s new with you.

Twelve Days and Counting

Posted By ê¿ê on March 7th, 2008

I know — you’re all sick to death of my talk about the upcoming trip to Vegas for our 25th anniversary, but gee whiz, cut me a little slack already! It’s not like you celebrate 25 YEARS of living with the same guy (and not killing him) every day is it?!?!?

Planet HollywoodOk, now that I have that out of the way, I have to confess that I’m really getting psyched up about this trip, but not necessarily in a good way. I mean I WAS psyched in a good way, but then I got to worrying. I came across this blog this morning where the woman reviewed Planet Hollywood which is where we’re staying and she had some not-so-nice things to say about HER experience.

My husband made all these arrangements, you see. It started with a phone call from Westgate Resorts offering him this nice deal on a couple of nights stay at PH along with some swag if we would “take a 1-1/2 hour tour of these brand new facilities”. Well the first thing he though of was “this is a time share scheme”, but when point blank asked if that’s what it was, they denied it, so he booked the rooms. Then he booked the airline tickets and rental car and now we’ve booked the chapel and I have a dress (but still no shoes!) and tickets to two shows (ELTON JOHN!!!!!!) OMG, what if —– Ok, Ok, that’s what travel insurance is for right? And he DID buy travel insurance, so we’ll be OK if something goes wrong — I think.

I need a valium.

    Margaret,

No one could really get tired of hearing about something so positive! :) I’ve done those Vegas time share things and have had a blast. Just go into agreeing that you won’t buy one. Stand firm and all is well.

    Sincerely,

    Ellie
