Ok — what are we going to talk about today?
We talked about what is and isn’t weird (recap — sticking tampons up your poop chute is weird, eating small bits of each item on your plate in one bite is not) and social networking yesterday, so we need other topics today, don’t you think? I mean, I’m usually not on any theme am I?
There wasn’t an email that I didn’t get that said we were supposed to blog about how much cheese we have in our refrigerator (not enough)? Or what order we wash ourselves in while showering (hair, face, arms, legs, torso)?
We’re coming into a weekend, so I’m SURE none of you want to talk about dieting or stuff like Ephedrasil Hardcore (despite that hardcore label on it).
I don’t know about you, but I’m so totally sick of John McCain/Sarah Palin – Barak Obama/Joe Beiden that I could puke. I KNOW our economy is in the pits, that we are headed for hard times and a recession/depression, so what I truly need is something to get my mind off all that depressing stuff.
I don’t think there’s any movies coming out (or currently playing) that will lighten the tone of the day. Even the book I’m currently reading is heavy and although interesting enough, isn’t lightening the mood.
So what do you guys think? What’s something fun (or funNY) that we can get into. There’s certainly nothing going on over at the Entrecard forums that qualifies!
I know Halloween is coming up and that’s a big deal for some. There’s a guy in my office who goes all-out to host a Halloween party that’s costumes required and tons of fun. I never get to go because we live so far away, but I hear about it (and see the pictures). But I’m not really much into Halloween (unless you’re talking about chocolate). I think the costumes are cute and inventive — on our trip to Charlotte Tuesday, we were making suggestions to the one lady whose husband is 6’8″ on possible costumes they could do (Rapunzel and a tower, Jack and the beanstalk or a monkey with a palm tree complete with banana and coconuts).
Well, darn! I’ve gotta head off for work. You guys talk about this amongst yourselves and let me know what you come up with, Okay?
See ya later!

Well, they don’t seem funny on the surface, but I managed to find humor in getting shingles, cutting my big toe, and digging my mom out of serious trouble with the federal government. I’m sure there are folks who will think it’s uproariously funny that those bits of unfortunateness happened to happen to me. In the same week. If my troubles can lighten someone else’s day, I’m good.
Carol´s last blog post..Sixteen Shingles
@Carol — no, it’s how you write about them that makes them funny. If you can laugh at yourself, then we can laugh along with you and not feel like we’re doing a friend wrong. Hope your shingles aren’t too bad!
