I just received notice from Scarlett’s dad, Patrick, that Scarlett (Kemar’s Tomorrows Another Day, CGC, SC) won the open class today against a Greyhound for the final points needed to complete her Field Trial Championship title with ASFA (American Sighthound Field Association). Yesterday she was Best of Breed as well as winning the Open class!
Scarlett is sister to Butterfly (Kemar’s Song of the South), Tara (Kemar’s No Place Like Home, RN, CGC, SC, TT, TDI, CR, ARX) and Oscar (Kemar’s Best Picture) .
Looking at this photo, you have to wonder if she might have needed some self defense products as she looks so tiny compared to that Greyhound! And she IS a little girl, as she’s only 18-1/4” tall and about 24 pounds. She’s all heart though as she runs with complete abandon at these lure coursing events.
Not only is she fast, but she’s smart too. You can see by her titles that she has a Canine Good Citizen award from the AKC for passing that exam. I understand that her owners are wanting to do obedience and rally with her, too.
I’m so proud of Scarlett and so thankful to her owners for not only giving her a wonderful home, but for allowing her to do the things she loves to do — run!

@Lux — she’s a doll baby. She doesn’t chase cats though. Her mom has two (I think) and she’s good with the cats — Whippets usually are as you both love to bask in the sun
— I think if you and Singh weren’t both boy cats you probably would have gotten along fine. He was a great kitty and I miss him.
