Since getting that Taylor Made Burner driver from theworldofgolf.com, Ken’s new addiction has been golf.
I should say his renewed addiction.
He played golf a lot a few years back. He and some buddies would go out to the greens every Sunday to play. It kept him outdoors and busy. Then he changed jobs, and gradually the old group dispersed to other places and interests. He had a brief revival of interest in “the game” when his new company organized golf teams and tournaments, but soon found he was working a lot of the planned days for the team and tournaments were just out of his league anyway since he’s a mediocre golfer at best. Now he’s arranging foursomes for Sundays among the guys at work who play. I’m really kind of glad as it’s getting him some much needed exercise and keeps him from sitting in front of the t.v. all afternoon.
Now he’s ordered a new Ogio bag as he plans to take his clubs with us when we go to Las Vegas next month. I guess spending time out on a golf course one day during our 5 days won’t be a terrible hardship and will give him a memory — after all, it’s his 25th anniversary, too!
