Let me get this out of the way here and now before you all go crazy — I don’t do memes, so don’t tag me. (please!)
I’m doing this one because Sailor is a special guy who has helped me with a lot of website issues and out of friendship to him. Not that the rest of you aren’t nice, but my patience with this stuff only goes so far — ‘K?
So here goes, four things in various categories I know about myself:
Four jobs I’ve had
- Collection Agent (hated it)
- Obedience Instructor (loved it)
- Secretary (it was OK)
- Database Administrator (it’s what I am now, so I guess I like it)
Four movies I can watch over and over
- Ghost
- Star Wars (all of them)
- Braveheart
- Wizard of Oz (I know the words to every single song)
Four places I’ve lived
- Orlando, Fl – USA
- Charlotte, NC – USA
- Greenville, SC – USA
- Oak Ridge, TN – USA
Four TV shows I love
- NCIS
- Ghost Whisperer
- uh oh — I don’t watch much t.v. and can’t think of any more
Four places I’ve vacationed
- Las Vegas, NV — (I wrote quite a few blog posts about las vegas hotels primarily Planet Hollywood — go check them out)
- Bahamas
- Cancun, Mexico
- New York, NY
Four of my favorite dishes
- Prime Rib
- Chili
- Barbecued Chicken
- Arroz con Camarones
Four sites I visit daily
- Turnipofpower.com
- Nice2all.com
- Entrecard.com
- daisythecurlycat.blogspot.com/
Four places I would rather be right now
- Home
- England
- Australia
- Maryville, TN
So now you know more about me than you did before (as if you cared)……

I care! I care deeply!
And I’d rather be a database administrator than a systems programmer (which is my current job). DBAs lead much more exciting lives.
Kelly — who are you trying to kid??? Yeah, my life is soooo exciting. Staying up 36 hours updating a stupid program, on call 24/7/365 — yeah….right…I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you

You’d rather be in Maryville??? I was just there today. Not saying anything against Maryville but I would have picked France or something ; )
I feel honored. Thanks for taking time for this meme. I do not like them much neither . I was tagged and I had to re-tag someone, you were just one of them. I promise, I will not do it again.
I feel for both you and Kelly, I have done both the jobs you are involved in (retirement is much nicer). I wish I could retire in the real sense of the word though, what with the spiraling cost of living I still find myself working far more than what I care to do.
As a young programmer I worked 17 hours a day every day so that I could retire a bit earlier. I managed to do that but now I find myself trying to teach a lot of know-it-all youngsters just to keep the pot boiling. It is not fair. Now I am making myself sad, so I am out of here.
Thanks again for giving us all a glimpse of the real Margaret behind the little avatar.
I know what you mean about the memes. I have been tagged by many and have not done them. Bad me.
Loved the insight into your life though. Thanks!
I have never ever seen Braveheart.
And every time I tell someone that they look at me like I’m crazy.
Especially my husband.
Sailor – please notice that I failed to tag anyone else — I would like to say it’s my way of rebelling, but the reality is I forgot :/ I’ll have to try to be more disingenuous in the future so I look more sophisticated instead of just ditzy — think it’ll work? Nah…not a change. I’m not young but have been know to put in a 17 hour day or so. Retirement looks great, but it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon “retirement age” or not.
Carol — no I don’t think you’re bad at all. If you’re not going to enjoy doing it, then I don’t think you should feel guilted into doing one. They just have a way of becoming your whole life and I don’t want this blog turning into one big meme blog. It’s not my focus.
Monique — I’m sure you are not in a minority in not seeing Braveheart. It’s not for the faint of heart as there are some pretty graphic scenes in it. I’m just kind of drawn to Celtic men painted blue.
Deb — my mom lives in Maryville and I have fun with her talking and doing crafty things, so yeah, I would rather be in Maryville.
