This month, since Mother’s Day is in it, I thought I would devote my weekly blog picks to family and relationship blogs.
It’s really hard these days to keep a family together. I’m so proud that Ken and I marked 25 years of marriage this year and are looking forward to many more years together. It’s all too easy to call it quits because things aren’t going right or there’s money issues — we had all those and more and managed to survive them, but it was because we made a commitment to each other and that meant we had to find solutions to our problems, not a path to escape them.
My first choice is titled A Toast to Parenthood and it’s a blog that is just chock full of stuff families can do together to help their children grow and learn.
Second on my list is a My Wife and Twins which is a hilarious look at life with twins from Dad’s point of view. You just HAVE to read about the Art of Bribery.
For a great site that discusses games, interpersonal relationships and other really important topics in family life, you should visit Geek Mom Mashup. I was especially delighted to read about how she dealt with bruised egos and name-calling in her latest post.
And last but certainly NOT least is Happy Family Matters a blog that touches on such sensitive subjects as Surviving a Childless Marriage and How to Meet Your Future In-Laws for the First Time.
Happy blogging!
