Cell Phone Safety
Posted By ê¿ê on May 23rd, 2008
I see so many people driving around with cell phones plastered to their heads, just yakking away, or worse, dialing a cell phone while trying to maneuver through traffic. It scares the bejeezus out of me!
I ALWAYS use my bluetooth headset when driving. I’ve been accused of looking like a Borg when I wear it, but I would rather look like a Borg than have a wreck because I was trying to hold the phone, steer the car and talk all at the same time. I’m not one of those totally uncoordinated people who can’t chew gum and walk, but there’s only so much a human can do all at one time without fumbling one or the other task. Fumbling at steering the car would be totally uncool. Borg it is.
Coincidentally, Buy.com has a sale this week on bluetooth headsets. While it’s not pink like mine (well, I am a girl and besides, my phone is pink, so they match), it’s not some gaudy thing, either, so won’t stand out as it hangs from your ear. It will work with any bluetooth compatible device (cell phone or mp3 player) and the price is unbelievable! $10 — that’s it — TEN DOLLARS. And that’s not even the best part (well it’s a pretty great part, but even better!) FREE SHIPPING! How cool is THAT I ask you?!?!?!
Check out Buy.com for other great deals-of-the-week! Who knows, you might find something you just can’t live without!
