I am constantly amazed by how creative people are — I envy their talent! Nothing has reinforced that perspective more than seeing some of the farms on FarmTown. I want to share some of those phenomenal farms with you.

There are many different ways you can be creative. One of them is with the flowers. FarmTown offers the feature of freezing flower growth at certain stages. This farm has created this image and frozen the flower growth to a certain stage.

PresleyPlace

It’s called Presley Place and I’m figuring the farmer is an Elvis fan. Please note that while I am linking to the farms, I’m not sure non-facebook members can actually get to the linked pages.

Making two dimensions look like three is a challenge, but several of the following farms have achieved their goals admirably!

CeadMileFailte

See how clever the Cèad Mile Fáilte farmer has been with the strategic placements of stone fences and flowers?

And here is a farm with a series of overlapped river parts (corners) to create a rapids.

Epona's Link

The trees strategically placed as they are on Epona’s Place help to create the effect of higher ground.

Gwillim’s Ground shows how crops can be used to create a unique visual effect.

Gwillims Ground

The use of the river and river corner pieces on this farm creates a fantasy world of make believe. This is The Brad’Lands.

The Brad'lands

A true masterpiece of FarmTown elements engineering beauty, Journey’s End is a party palace!

Journey's End

Well, if these examples aren’t enough to get your creative juices flowing, Asea has posted some video tutorials on how to create the effects you see on her farm. They are well worth your time to watch! You’ll be amazed at how these pieces are layered to create these visual effects.

Ok, so NOW do you get some idea of how addicting it is to play Farm Town? You can play at any level you wish from simple to super sophisticated. You never lose (well unless you let your  crops go bad) and everyone is a winner!

You can also play FarmTown if you’re a MySpace user.

  1. Actually this look like it could be a lot of fun, although I don’t think it could take the place of Harvest Moon on my DS.
