Entrecard helps bloggers build community like no one else

Today marks the day when at long last the announcement of Entrecard’s new partner was made. We’ve been waiting to hear this exciting news and when it broke today I was laughing at my reaction.

You see, the new partnership is with SezWho. I installed SezWho about a month ago to help me improve my comment system. That makes me on the cutting edge of something! :P

I know — I’m being silly, but I am excited to be a part of both communities. This can only be a wining combination for any blogger to have in their toolbox. Sorta like having a premium steering rack to keep EntreCard members headed on the road to bigger and better things. Graham Langdon, EntreCard’s creator, mover and shaker has worked diligently to move this community to the forefront of blogging. Bewteen his ideas and Phirate’s coding, this social networking community has brought a lot of positive things to the people who have stuck through the hard times and kept on blogging.

So, if you’re not a part of the Entrecard community and you are a blogger, it’s time now to join.

If you ARE part of Entrecard, now it’s time to add SezWho to your blog to turbocharge your readership and commentators.

I signed up but i’m not quite sure i get it. They gave great instructions on how to install it in blogger, i was thankful for that. But then the rest of the instructions got lost lol. I’ll try it for the month to see what i think. Ultimately i’m afraid i’ll only get comments so people can get credits as opposed to because i wrote something that actually interested someone. Since my blogs now are more a fun thing that matters to me. Now when i get the new one up and running i’m sure i’ll be begging for attention lol, so i guess it depends on the viewpoint. We’ll see what happens though. Seems okay so far.

I’ve been trying all afternoon to upload the plug in in my wp/content file but it’s not showing up on any of my sites. Any suggestions?

I saw that! I tried to install SezWho at the Crib, but I must be a dork or maybe it’s not working since I hacked into my comments already. (sigh) I’m SO not techy savvy, and I just installed Disqus at MammaDawg – I am totally nervous about uninstalling it.

I guess I will watch from the sidelines and see how it goes… but from the sound of it – I’m guessing it’s going pretty darn well, huh?

P.S. Thankx for droppin’ by the Dance of Motherhood! Double P.S. LOVE your “what’s next?” buttons!!

I added it to mine!! Looking forward to seeing what it brings. :)

    Hey Margaret,
When I found out about the new partnership, I actually thought of your site as I’ve noticed you had the rating system for comments already installed…you are ahead of the rest :)

Yup this is cool! I’m glad I found SezWho on your blog that month or so ago, and installed it. And I’ve liked it a lot and kept with it. And now Entrecard is partnering with them, that is great! I like it so far.

I just hope I did my registration right… not sure if my SezWho account is tied to my EC accounts properly.

Nessa – Yeah, I don’t think anyone has been using the ratings stars at all on mine (at least not from what I’ve seen). I’m not sure how I feel about being rated either comment-wise or post-wise. It may make me too self conscious, but then again, there are many days where I don’t give a rat’s patootie to what other people think of what I’m writing — guess I’ll need to grow a thicker skin.

Kim — what version of WP are you using? I’ve got 2.5. Also your theme may be part of the problem. On my photo blog, I had to change themes to work with SezWho.

Monique — I’ve seen a modest increase in commenting activity BEFORE the announcement of EntreCard’s partnership, I’m sure hoping to see a much bigger increase now.

Marie — {{hugs}} Thank you for thinking of me — whatever the reason, it’s nice to come to someone’s mind when something totally unrelated is brought up. I doubt if having the system installed before the rush is going to make any kind of difference in the great scheme of things, but I felt momentarily special.

Ghing — I’m seeing a few more people. Glad to have the traffic for sure!
