I was checking out the marketplace when someone named “Farmer Tom” came on and started asking who had a mansion and then how many mansions did you have.
Now to get a mansion, you have to be a level 34 player and the mansions cost 1 million coins.
Farmer Tom had 4 mansions and was saving up for a fifth!
Of course he wasn’t believed, but it’s very easy to click on the avatar and choose the “visit Farmer Tom’s Farm” link to visit the farm, so I have seen with my very own eyes that he did indeed have 4 mansions! I wasn’t the only one who went to check either — there were several others.
I left Farmer Tom a message asking if I could interview him for a piece on this blog. I want to find out things like how many hours a day he’s on Farm Town and how long it took him to achieve his level and his first million. What other things would you like to see answered?
I’ve seen some pretty amazing farm designs lately too! One lady had a maze on her farm and I want to begin getting screen captures of these farms.
One of the drawbacks to Facebook in general but it also extends to FarmTown are all the ads. Those are definitely getting on my nerves. I seem to get quite a lot for weight loss supplements and pet related things like litter boxes and pet treat dispensers. And something just showed up today wanting me to wear “college colors” of orange and purple — that’s CLEMSON! Why would I want to wear THOSE colors??? ICK!
Well, off to see if Mr Tom will grant me an interview!
