Feeling Creative and Generous!

Posted By ê¿ê on February 25th, 2008

I’m feeling creative and generous — a dangerous combination.

Anyway, take advantage and ask me to create an Entrecard for you or a blog header…

I’ll do as many as I can, but first come, first served….

You’re warned!

Here are some examples of my work so far:

Theworldofgolf.com Followup Story

Posted By Ken on February 24th, 2008

Now that I’ve had a few weeks to play with the Burner driver by Taylor Made from theworldofgolf.com, I’m even more impressed than I was that first day on the driving range. I’ve a renewed interest in playing and am getting out on the greens for the first time in several years now.

Having a club the caliber of this one in my bag has given me new confidence in my game. It just makes me look really good up there on the tee box. When I hit the ball, and KNOW it’s going to go 200 to 250 yards for me is a supreme confidence builder. It also “self corrects” some of my mistakes as I seem to hit way fewer slice and hook shots despite knowing I still do stupid things like lift my head up too soon and don’t plant my feet properly.

It took a very short time for me to get used to the long shaft and the large club head. It is very well balanced and feels right when I swing it. The sound it makes when you hit the ball is different from any other club I’ve played with before. It’s a very metallic sound and is not at all like the solid-sounding ker-whap sound of other drivers.

The guys I play golf with are impressed by the Burner as well. I’ve let several of them use it and everyone has remarked on how much further their drive is. Theworldofgolf.com should have gotten a few sales from them :) for the Burner driver! I know that once I retire, I plan on playing a lot more golf and owning this driver is going to make my retirement a lot of fun!

So that all this praise doesn’t go to their heads, my wife and I put together this video :P

My Fat Revisited

Posted By ê¿ê on February 23rd, 2008

I’ve lost a little bit of weight (ok, now that I’ve said that, I can feel my thighs and ass swelling up).

I’m happy that I’ve lost weight. I haven’t lost nearly ENOUGH weight since I still look like I’m wearing maternity jeans, but you have to start somewhere, right? So now that I’ve shed a few pounds, I need to do something that firms up all this saggy, flapping flesh I saw in the bathroom mirror this morning as I stepped out of the shower (good thing I hadn’t eaten breakfast yet, that sight would have prompted anyone to hurl!).

ExerciseI can do some power walking or some low impact exercises. That ought to help firm up these jiggly jugs of mine.

It’s raining, so no walk this morning. If I had a treadmill, I could walk on that, but I don’t and also don’t have a membership to a gym. I did some exercises, but after the 3rd rep, was panting and wheezing, so stopped to catch my breath and then forgot what exercise I was doing. You’re supposed to do them in a certain order so as to get all the biceps, triceps, quads and whatever-ceps properly exercised. I’ll have to make a checklist of the exercises and their order before I begin again.

Just what I need! Something else to organize in my life!

The Date is Getting Closer

Posted By ê¿ê on February 23rd, 2008

March 17th.

That’s the date.

That’s when we leave for Las Vegas and our 25th wedding anniversary trip. It’s only 3 weeks away. I don’t have everything done, planned or organized yet! Yikes!

I have the dress for the vow renewal ceremony, but no shoes. I have no sexy costumes for the reenactment of our wedding night. I don’t even know what clothes I’m going to take for ANY of this trip except the stupid dress! ACK!

Deep breath…….don’t panic……you WILL have it all together by the time you’re packing on the 16th……yeah, right.

Ok, ok, look — you have the important stuff done. You have the chapel and Elvis booked. You have the rental car booked. You have the plane tickets bought and the hotel reservations. You have tickets to see Elton John and Penn and Teller. The rest is easy.

Yeah, right.
