If you know me, you know I almost NEVER watch TV — too busy in front of this computer most of the time doing gosh only knows what. Anyway, Ken is out of town for the next few days, so the remote control belongs to me and the dogs! Woo Hoo!

I was watching a sit-com last night that had a couple spooning in a set of bunk beds at a college dorm. Well, first off, I’ve never seen a college dorm room with bunk beds, so the story writers must have come up with that piece of furniture to fit the story line. Second off, if it had been me and Ken — well, one of us would have been on the floor! Nothing funny like that happened to this couple though. Too obvious I guess…

Ok — I’ll admit it… I LOVE bling! It doesn’t have to be expensive bling, but that’s obviously best. Costume jewelry works fine. I do want it to be good quality costume jewelry, though — no cheap, tacky stuff that looks like a blob with glass stock on. I’m sespecially fond of pins that are animals(no reptiles or amphibians, please!) or birds and rings with unusual stones in them like yellow quartz or peridots or amethysts. Earrings, but not bracelets — my work entials using my hands too much and bracelets get in the way.

Among my most favorite spots to vacation are the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Although relatively close to where I live, going there is like going to another country. The scenery, the food are all so much different than where I live. I love visiting there in the “off season” — very few tourists and although the weather might be stormy, you can’t beat it for atmosphere!

By far, my favorite junk mail is the one that has a free personalized pen in it. I just love those advertising pens! They usually write pretty good and last a fairly long time, they have my name on them, so no one “borrows” them and they are usually colorful and so, easy to find in the depths of my purse. I’ll admit that I never order any — what would I do with 100 pens?? I don’t have a business to hand them out to customers and they would just dry up in the drawer, but I do enjoy getting them nevertheless.
